A Little About Me. A Little About Us.

Before I totally take off here, I should probably take a minute to introduce myself and the others who will, no doubt, be featured here in Candiland.  I'm Candice, wife to an Army soldier and mother to 2 amazing boys, Takeshi and Kenji.  We also have 2 dogs. (also boys, so I'm the only female in this place!)  I love my family more than anything.  My mother instilled in me a strong love of photographs, a love of kids and some crazy creativity, although she denies that last bit.  She was always taking pictures of my brother and I as we were growing up and I'm so glad she did.  I'm trying my best to do the same with my family and last year, I picked up photography as a hobby.  I'm definitely still learning and my favorite things to photograph are, of course, my boys.  My husband, Stephen, and I were high school sweethearts and now we've got our own little family!  He is a fantastic father and constantly puts up with my need to organize and reorganize and craft, craft, craft.  That's basically us in a nutshell!

Update at the Y House

So, since this is my first year doing a blog I think I'm just going to let it flow for the most part.  I have so many different interests that I can't say (at this time) that this will be about one particular thing.  Apparently I'm crazy because I've decided to start blogging right when I decided to redecorate the majority of my home.  Things had been mostly thrown together here because I was bored or because I thought it would look cool.  My tastes have changed a lot since then and several things that I had started never got finished.  Now I just look around my house and feel frustration.  Less like home and a lot more frustration.  It will be okay though, because now its time to pick myself up and get it together.

Carving Out My Corner Of The Internet

Well, well, well... I've finally gotten around to starting up my own blog!  I wanted to start blogging in 2011, but I had no idea where to start.  Now, after lurking around several blogs over the past few months and with some advice from an awesome friend, here I am!  That's all for now I suppose.  Time to start looking at how to finish setting this thing up.
